Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands

The San Juan P&DC and Catano DMDU Annex are accepting FAST appointments. DDU drop shipments are being accepted in all offices open for retail, mail pickup and delivery services.

Priority Mail Express is being accepted with normal service guarantees. The suspension of shipments of live animals has been lifted.

All incoming mail service is available in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. All customers are receiving mail through pickup at Post Offices or delivery.

Puerto Rico

All Post Offices in Puerto Rico are open and have resumed normal operations.

Hawaii

Hanalei Post Office, 96714 ― Closed due to flooding. A reopening date for the facility, located at 5-5226 Kuhio Highway, has not yet been determined. Customers served by this office can pick up their mail at the Kilauea Post Office, 2585 Ala Namahana Parkway, 96754. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.to noon.    

Caribbean

St. Thomas

Emancipation Gardens Station, 00802 ― Office is closed. Mail delivery, retail operations and mail pickup, including packages, are temporarily suspended. Customers can visit the alternate locations listed below to buy stamps, money orders or shipping products:

  • Veterans Drive Station, 6500 Veterans Dr., 00802.
  • Havensight Mall Station, 9007 Havensight Shopping Center, 00802.
  • Charlotte Amalie Main Post Office, 9846 Estate Thomas, 00802.

Louisiana

Melville Post Office, 71353 — Office is closed due to flooding. All operations have been relocated to Palmetto Post Office located at 214 E. Railroad Ave., Ste. B, 71358. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

New York

Normal operations have resumed at the following Post Offices following power outages:

  • Kattskill Bay, 12844
  • Cleverdale, 12820

Virgin Islands

U.S. Virgin Islands

All Post Offices in St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix have resumed full operations with the exception of the office listed below.

St. Croix

  • Frederiksted, 00840 — PO Boxes have been installed at a temporary facility for PO Box customers and for local customers who receive a delivery notice for oversized or signature-required items. The temporary facility is at 2B Kingstreet. No retail services are available at this location. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Stamp sales, package acceptance and money orders are available at Kingshill, 00850.

Kentucky

The California KY 41007 Post Office is temporarily closed due to flooding. Retail and delivery operations have been temporarily relocated to the Alexandria KY Post Office 44101.

Mail delivery is being attempted daily.  

Virginia

Operations are being suspended at the Milan Post Office, 3800 Colley Ave, Norfolk VA, effective Monday, Feb. 26. Milan customers can do all retail transactions, including passports and pick up their P.O. box mail at the Norfolk Main Post Office between 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Norfolk Main Post Office is located at 600 Church Street.

Milan Drop Shipments should be taken to the Delivery Unit at the Norfolk Main Post office. Delivery operations will not be impacted.

Pennsylvania

Houston Post Office, 15342 — Operations temporarily suspended as a result of flooding from heavy rain.  Please check back for updates.

Michigan

Detroit NDC — Operations have fully resumed at the facility. Power has been restored following an outage. 

Texas

Houston

The following offices are closed. Customers served by them should pick up their mail at the alternate pickup locations during regular retail hours:

  • Glen Flora, 77443 — Alternate location: Wharton, 77488.
  • Stowell, 77661 — Alternate location: Winnie, 77665.

Maryland

Baltimore area

Millersville Post Office, 21108 — The office, located at 221 Najoles Rd., is closed until further notice due to a fire. Customers can pick up mail and obtain retail services at the Severna Park Post Office, located at 21 Magothy Bridge Rd. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers do not need to complete a change of address form. Mail deliveries in Millersville are not affected.

Tropical Storm Irma

Suncoast

Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Melbourne and Space Coast

All Post Offices, stations and branches in the Suncoast area have resumed normal operations with these exceptions. The following offices will have limited retail services. Customers can pick up PO Box mail at a mobile retail unit. Drop shipments will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

  • Chokoloskee, 195 Smallwood Dr., 34138-9800.
  • Everglades City, 601 Collier Ave., 34139-9800 — Mobile retail unit located at 102 Copeland Ave. N., 34139. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Maine

Winthrop Post Office, 04364 — Retail and PO Box services have been relocated to Manchester Post Office, located at 31 Readfield Rd., 04351. The Winthrop Post Office is being rebuilt after a fire and is expected to reopen in fall 2018.

Rhode Island

Albion Post Office, 02802 — Retail operations have been relocated to the Manville Post Office, located at 30 Railroad St., Ste. 3, 02838. The Albion Post Office is being rebuilt after a fire.

Arkansas

Rosie, 72571 — Office closed due to fire damage. Retail and PO Box operations have moved to Oil Trough, 209 Main St., 72564-9998. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon, and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Parthenon Post Office 72666 – The office was destroyed by a tornado. All operations have been relocated to Jasper Post Office, located at 412 W Court St., Jasper, AR 72641.
